First, I am married to my business partner and we have a three-year-old who regularly eats rare Ahi, Brussels sprouts and Piemontese cheese with truffles. I am the proprietor (with my Husband, Paul) and sommelier of Trattoria Stella in the Village at Grand Traverse Commons. I am working toward achieving the level of Master Sommelier having recently passed the Advanced level exam. My husband, our chef and I believe strongly in utilizing the best local products whenever possible. That is the cornerstone of our menu development that involves changing it twice daily. Another key aspect of our business is my own belief that wine should not be exclusionary and everyone deserves to experience great wine. I therefore try to make it more accessible to people with all levels of spending comfort. Wine and food is fun; share it!
