Alaskan Premium Seafoods update
Contact and process of getting great fish from us.
My husband Mike and I are owners of a new company that has opened in Traverse City, MI. Mike is a longliner fisherman in the Bering Sea.
We are opening this company so that the restaurants in Traverse City may have a variety of high quality Alaskan Fish available throughout the year for them to serve. We use a sustainable fishing method and process and fillet the fish before it arrives from Mike's Boat. We than will distribute the product throughout the Northern Michigan Region. We will start slowly and than eventually open it up in an E Commerce fashion so that the general public will be able to place orders for 20 pounds or more and have it delivered.
We are trying to keep everything local as far as vendors are concerned. In the future we would like to open a processing plant here to bring more jobs to the area instead of following suit and having it processed outside the States as most fish companies do process in China. To educate people on the benefits of eating fish while being able to use sustainable methods to deliver our products are only a few of our goals. My husband Mike and I are owners of a new company that has opened in Traverse City, MI. Where do the foods come from, what will come in future years? Will our kids, or grandchildren think fish is raised on farms and never know they are from our waters?
