10th Annual Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference

Farmers are greeting the challenges of today's agricultural world with new found passion and creative production, marketing, and management strategies. The Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference brings these success stories to you.

The keynote speaker will be Fred Kirschenmann, former Director of the Leopold Center in Iowa. Workshop topics will include root cellars, grain grinding yourself, using an incubator kitchen for value added products, drip irrigation, food safety issues and much more. The conference will feature a 100-mile lunch as well as a brand new youth track. Their keynote speaker will be Daniel Salatin, son of Joel Salatin.
