Up North Foodies to be on WJR
Here's a heads up that Up North Foodies will be featured on WJR's Come to the Table with host, Steve Stewart The show will run on Feb. 8 from 3 to 4, and then get archived on their web site. They're always looking for good stories featuring chefs, authors, farmers, food manufacturers, retailers and others. Send your suggestions to host Steve Stewart.

Great job on the interview, Paula. This is one of the best shows we've done, just in terms of covering so many important points: Michigan, local, and GOOD FOOD! I've been watching for a way to throw myself into this exciting new community that's developing faster than a lot of folks down here even realized. Signing up here is how I am dipping my toe into the Michigan cuisine community water! And I put myself out there on a personal level to help anyway I can to make Michigan the "Tuscany of North America."
It's great for Michigan's economy and our future. And it will be folks like you, our sponsor for Come to the Table, Michael Potter at Eden Foods, and the restaurateurs, purveyors and growers who will be the pioneers of what I believe to be an exciting new chapter in Michigan's proud history!

Gee, thank you for the kind words, Mark! I appreciated the opportunity to promote Northern Michigan. There are so many places up here doing great things, it could very well be the Tuscany of North America. Okay, maybe without the olive oil!
And I couldn't agree with you more that we need to promote these businesses, and in so doing, promote our state's economy. It's such a win/win situation, with the added benefit of fostering community. All good!
