• USA Today, April 14: Empire's Asparagus Festival mentioned
• Esquire "Black Book, Spring 2009": Leelanau Peninsula dubbed one of "Four Best Places on Earth," an article written by chef Mario Batali, who has a residence on the Leelanau.
