Harbor Springs Vineyards and Winery
Northern Michigan will soon be home to a fantastic and unique new vineyard and winery. Harbor Springs Vineyards and Winery is located at Pond Hill Farm which is already considered one of the true gems of northern Michigan.
HSVW will be opening in June 2011. It will offer wine tasting in the tasting room as well as wines by the glass in the adjoining Garden Cafe. The cafe boasts a flavorful menu featuring local produce,meats, and canned goods all produced onsite. Wander through the terraced vineyard and take in the breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, surrounding pastures, and rolling hills.Other offerings at the farm include shopping at the impressive farm market, farm animals in the livestock barn, a squash rocket, u-pick berries, hayrides,and hiking trails. Wines for this season include Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Cherry Wine, Cherry Finale Dessert Wine, and Regatta Red. Be sure to try the amazing Tunnel Vision Hard Cider as well. I stopped by Harbor Springs Vineyard and Winery the other day while visiting Pond Hill Farm. The tasting room is almost finished and looks amazing! I cannot wait to try a tasting there this summer with the girls! The man told me that they will have six wines this year and a hard cider. I can't wait to try the riesling!!!
