Get Farming Classes to start next week

Series Helps Startups, Boosts Marketing, Business Skills for Veterans Michigan Land Use Institute's Get Farming! program will present eight classes covering farm business issues like market research, legal concerns, and financial planning. The Business of Farming begins on January 20 at Michigan Works in Traverse City. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The series is designed to help a new generation of farmers, but it is also highly valuable to experienced growers who want to improve their established operation’s business and marketing practices. The fee for the eight classes is just $85, and also features several field trips to area food and farm businesses and one-on-one business counseling.
