Food for Thought finalist for TC Chamber Award
The honors continue for Food for Thought, an Honor, Michigan-based company that produces award-winning Fair Trade and organic specialty foods. The company is one of 10 finalists for the Traverse City Chamber's 2008 Hagerty Small Business of the Year award announced yesterday. The winner will be announced at a luncheon May 21 at the Hagerty Center on NMC's Great Lakes Campus in Travese City.
Food for Thought also will be honored later this month as one of Michigan's 50 Companies to Watch, and was named Business of the Year 2007 by the Benzie County Chamber of Commerce in October. The company also was featued on the Food Network in January. AND, to top it all off, company president Timothy Young reports that Vegetarian Times Magazine honored Food for Thought with a best salsa 2008 designation and will be included in the May issue.
What a roll! It's companies like this that give vibrancy to our local economy and deserve our support. Look for Food for Thought's products at stores throughout the area and beyond, or shop online.
