Epicurean Classic Needs a Home
The Great Lakes Culinary Institute at Northwestern Michigan College will no longer host the Epicurean Classic, according to an article in today's Traverse City Record-Eagle. Let's hope we get some creative community solutions to keep it here in town!

Sure hope there is a good venue for the Classic next year and for years to come.
We are new here in town. We participated in the sampling tent, and attended the final evening's celebration on Saturday. We were so impressed with the venue and the talent of all those involved.
I am sure that the Grand Traverse Resort has been mentioned as a possible location. They certainly have the space and the expertise to handle a large crowd....However, it is not as centrally located as the Culinary Institute, and being intown was great for us.
For all of us "Foodies" it would be a sad day to see the Epicurean Classic move out of the area. We cannot let that happen!
Keeping my eyes open.
