Empty Bowls Event to Benefit Fresh Food Partnership
The 7th Annual Empty Bowls Event, supporting the vital work of the Fresh Food Partnership, will take place on Sunday, April 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City.
The Fresh Food Partnership is a coalition of non-profit organizations and volunteers working to buy locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables and distribute them to area food pantries, community meals programs and shelters in our five county area. A contribution of $15 enables attendees to enjoy a joyous community luncheon that includes a delicious meal of soup and bread, musical entertainment, and the choice of a handmade bowl as a reminder of all of the empty bowls in our area.
Tickets are available online, or at Oryana, artcenter Traverse City, the Land Information Access Association and, on the day of the event, at the Hagerty Center. For additional information, please contact the Fresh Food Partnership at 929-3696 or by e-mail at coordinator@freshfoodpartnership.org.
