Eco Lunch Gear
If you pack a lunch and want to reduce your waste, check out eco lunch gear, a new business recently launched by a Northern Michigan mom.
In the interest of full disclosure, I developed the web site for eco lunch gear. But after spending so much time focusing on the gear, and using the sandwich wrap and snack bag for my son's lunch, I really love these things and wanted to help spread the word.
When Tina, the owner, first showed them to me I thought they looked nice and all, but it was only after using them for the past month that I really appreciated how well thought out the design is. The wrap and snack bag open flat so they clean really easily without junk getting stuck in the seams or corners. The velcro tabs seal shut so they don't stick to stuff in the laundry. And it's even faster to just wash them in the sink and drip dry overnight to use the next day. They're made of 100% organic cotton, and a nylon liner that wipes down easily. So if you hate using plastic baggies that just get tossed in the trash (or, yuck, you try to wash those out at night and they hold droplets of water like nobody's business so they're still soggy in the a.m.), eco lunch gear is a great solution. Check it out!

I have these wraps and I love them. I travel a lot for my job and I've found them extremely helpful for protecting my reading glasses, carrying a snack with me on a plane, and I even use one to carry as a light weight wallet when I don't want to carry a purse.

I found this searching eco products, as I make pan protectors for stacking non stick pans without scratching them, I also make an eco bag for micro waving frozen bagels, burritos and pastries. My kids use the bags in their lunch boxes instead of paper towels for micro waving at school. This sandwich wrap looks very nice , I think people should definitely support individuals and companies that are providing environmentally considerate products.
